About Gusto Group
Gusto Group is a certified B Corp operating across three distinct business arms, Construction, Architecture and Rotational Moulding. As a B Corp, Gusto Group has made a public commitment to meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, but this commitment is nothing new – they have been leading the way building low-energy, innovative homes for over 30 years.
The Challenge
Gusto Group’s sustainability ambitions were clear at leadership level. The challenge was translating the “why” into genuine understanding across a workforce that spans three very different industries; construction, architecture and plastic manufacturing.
Teams needed to understand not just why sustainability mattered, but how it connected to their specific work, their decisions and their day-to-day roles.
A one-size-fits-all approach wasn’t going to cut it.
Rototek
Specialist plastic moulding and manufacturing, a distinct operational arm of the group.
Climate Fresk
Gusto Construction & Studio G
Design, development and construction of residential and commercial properties.
Climate Fresk + Construction Collage
How it Unfolded

First pilot to test the format
Gusto Group had heard about the Climate Fresk format, like many other people, after over 2M people took part but hadn’t yet experienced it first-hand. DecarbonEaser ran an initial pilot session, a chance to discover what the workshop could do and whether it was right for their organisation. The response was immediate and enthusiastic.

Climate Fresk rolled out across the whole organisation
The pilot’s success opened the door to a full organisational rollout. Over the course of the two-year partnership, Climate Fresk was delivered to more than 70 people across Gusto Group giving almost half the workforce, from property to manufacturing, a shared foundation of climate literacy to support their B Corp mission and amplify their advocacy.

The Construction Collage to go deeper with the property arm
For the property development side of the business, a broader climate foundation wasn’t enough. Construction managers, procurement staff and project teams needed something tailored to their world, the specific risks, dependencies and opportunities that exist within the built environment. The Construction Collage filled that gap precisely.

Client Voice
“The Climate Fresk and Construction Collage workshops took complicated topics and made them accessible for everyone. The game format encouraged discussion and gave everyone an opportunity to speak, which helped everyone to understand the topics being discussed. The 3 hours flew by!”

What made this possible
Over two years, DecarbonEaser and Gusto Group built something more than a training programme rather a sustained commitment to sustainability literacy embedded across the whole business. Climate Fresk gave every employee a shared language and a genuine understanding of why their B Corp status matters. The Construction Collage gave Gusto Construction and Studio G the specialist depth to translate that understanding into decisions that count in procurement, in design, on site.
For a group that spans three distinct industries, the ability to deploy both a universal workshop and a sector-specific one under one partnership, with a consistent approach proved to be exactly the right model.
